Neutrals should be aware that in light of Diplomatic Decree 2351A (below) that The Alignment considers factions associated with the so-called "New Republic", including its various intelligence offshoots and direct allies, priority targets. Standing orders of the Grander Moff are to pursue these groups of dangerous criminals above other targets, except when otherwise arranged by agreement with allied operations or when other groups are actively targeting our friends and allies. Piracy comes from insecurity. Insecurity comes from disorder. Disorder comes from rebellion.

Diplomatic Decree 2351A - Year 26

The Pentastar Alignment had a long history of general (if capricious) neutrality, but in year 25 factions aligned with the so-called "Republic" began an unprovoked, targeted campaign of disinformation, propaganda, looting, espionage and general hostility that culminated a year later in the kidnapping of a member of the Moff Council. Attempts at a diplomatic solution failed due to collaboration, perfidy and ignorance of members of that lawless alliance.

Although not a member of the Imperial Union, the Grander Moff has unilaterally decreed full recognition of the Imperial Union and all its entities as legitimate structures opposed to lawlessness. Organisations marked enemy on this list have been determined hostile to our interests. Neutral factions are assured the Alignment bears them no ill-will and are invited to contact us for friendlier relations if desired.
